近期，国家图书馆（国家古籍保护中心）组织进行了第七次古籍数字资源联合发布，携手天津图书馆、南京图书馆、云南省图书馆、苏州图书馆、中山大学图书馆，新增发布古籍资源6786部（件），为中华古籍的数字化保护与利用再添新果。
本次发布的资源包括诗词文集、年谱目录、稿抄本、石刻碑帖等多种类型，上起汉魏下迄民国，其中不少是稀见或未出版文献。例如云南省图书馆发布的《北齐书》是宋刻宋元明递修本，收藏界有“一页宋版一两金”之说，该书基于宋代雕版，经宋元明三代修补，在明代刷印而成，具有极高的版本价值。借古籍数字化的机会，广大读者和学者得以一睹这些珍版古籍的真容。
卷帙浩繁的古籍文献是中华悠久文明和灿烂文化的见证者与记录者，也是当下传承弘扬中华优秀传统文化，并推进其实现创造性转化、创新性发展不可或缺的源头活水。然而，如何平衡古籍的文物性与文献性，既做好古籍的修复保护、守住中华民族的文化宝藏，又能使古籍上的文字走出故纸尘封、与更大范围的读者和研究者见面，是古籍工作一直以来面临的一大难题。
所幸的是，现代科学与信息技术为解决古籍保护与利用间的矛盾提供了可行路径。利用扫描、微缩等技术手段，让古籍的原始面貌以数字化的形式完整清晰地保留下来，有效避免了人为移动或翻阅过程中可能造成的损伤，大大方便了阅览研究。在此基础上，又可借助AI技术，对古籍进行规模化、系统化的字符识别和录入，搭建古籍全文数据库以及各类知识库，实现全文检索、文本比对、自动标点、数据分析等功能。这些技术应用在提高整理研究效率的同时，还拓宽了相关人文领域的研究视野，丰富了古籍挖掘利用的方式手段。
自“中华古籍保护计划”启动以来，我国古籍数字化进程不断加快，特别是近年来取得了相当大的进展。在资源建设方面，各古籍收藏与研究机构着力于数字资源的采集整理，集合推出了一批线上资源共享平台，古籍资源的开放水平明显提升。据统计，截至目前，全国累计发布古籍及特藏文献影像资源达13万部（件）。此外，海外古籍的数字化回归也是近年古籍工作的亮点。以“全球汉籍合璧工程”为代表的海外古籍调查整理项目，让去家万里的海外古籍再生性回归故土，也推动了学术上和文化层面的交流互鉴。
可喜成果接连涌现，但古籍数字化工作依旧任重道远。与存世古籍体量相比，现有的数字化规模还存在巨大差距，数字化成果的共享开放水平和深度挖掘能力都有很大提升空间。古籍从修复保存到研究整理都需要大量人力物力的投入，古籍数字化更是牵涉许多交叉领域，专业人才的匮乏已成为制约数字化进程的关键因素，加强复合型人才培养、建立人才吸引和激励机制十分紧迫。
应该看到，古籍数字化对于古籍的活化利用有着基础性的意义。去年，中共中央办公厅、国务院办公厅印发了《关于推进新时代古籍工作的意见》，其中提出了加强古籍数据流通和协同管理，实现古籍数字化资源汇聚共享等发展目标。实现这些目标，需要政府相关部门、古籍学术机构以及更多社会力量的共同参与和努力。充分发挥数字技术的突出优势，激活古籍在新时代的传播力、生命力，一定能够让更多人感受到古籍的文化魅力，让宝贵的传统文化遗产焕发新的光彩。
