Tableau于2015年8月进军中国，在上海开设办公室。当时的Tableau副总裁JV Pook对中国市场充满了信心：“13亿人口、快速拓展的城市经济、呈几何倍数增长的互联网和智能手机普及，中国每年的数据需求是巨大的。
Tableau 在国内除了服务众多外资企业在华机构外，还有东航这样的中国本土企业客户。
2019年 Salesforce 以 157 亿美元的价格收购 Tableau。
业内传言，这次Salesforce将不再保留Tableau的原厂销售，很多销售已经开始找工作，中国区业务可能以出售、代理等方式交予阿里巴巴，但这些细节并未公开。

Tableau entered China in August 2015, opening an office in Shanghai. JV Pook, Tableau’s vice president at the time, was confident about the Chinese market: “With 1.3 billion people, a rapidly expanding urban economy, and the exponential growth of Internet and smartphone penetration, China’s annual demand for data is enormous.
In addition to serving many foreign enterprises in China, Tableau also serves local Chinese enterprises such as China Eastern Airlines.
In 2019, Salesforce acquired Tableau for $15.7 billion.
The rumor is that Salesforce will not keep the original Tableau sales this time around. Many of the Tableau sales are already looking for jobs, and the China business may be sold to Alibaba, but these details have not been made public.
