“可持续灯塔工厂”又是在灯塔工厂中评选出，除了实现重大影响、成功整合多个用例、拥有可扩展的技术平台、在关键的推动因素中表现优异之外，更需要在具备生态发展的可持续性，可以说是“灯塔中的灯塔”。

为了表彰在环境保护上表现突出的灯塔成员，2021 年9月开始，全球灯塔网络推出了“可持续灯塔”的甄选。这些生态先驱显著提升了生态效益：在提升企业可持续性，为环境带来积极影响的同时，还成功实现了业务目标。它考量的不是工厂及供应链单纯的硬件升级带来的双碳效应，而是先进技术推动生态可持续发展带来的直接的、巨大的效果影响。截止到目前，2023年1月13日第四批发布，全球累计共13家。
