Programmer “delete database” run, before is a joke, later Hangzhou e-commerce company micro alliance programmers let this joke into the industry explosion event, SAAS system in more than 3 million business data was completely destroyed, these businesses suffered heavy losses, business interruption for a long time, for the industry rare.
But HR “delete database” run away, have you heard? Recently, an HR person deleted the data of the human resources system, which made many people sigh for a long time.
According to US media reports, the head of human resources at the St Petersburg office of a Manhattan-based online professional services provider maliciously destroyed data in its computer system because he was unhappy with the company.
Back two years ago, on June 28, 2019, the employee was fired for, in part, reducing a colleague’s access to the company’s computer system without the company’s permission after an argument.
After receiving the dismissal notice, the HR director was very unhappy, so he logged into the internal system of recruitment and talent management, wiped all the resumes from the talent pool that the company had spent years building, deleted about 17,000 resumes and some employee files, and wiped out much of the initial configuration and data of the HR system, leaving dirty words in the system.
Colleagues testified to seeing the HR executive repeatedly hit the delete key on his desktop computer. It took the company two years after the breach and more than $300,000 to build the damaged system, and $100,000 to get it working again.
Prosecutors say the intentional act is a serious crime. After a six-day trial in New York, the HR executive was found guilty of two counts of damaging a computer and faces up to 15 years in prison, foreign media reported.
