继saleforce、tableau、LinkedIn、Airbnb等美国IT巨头公司关闭中国业务后，数据仓库公司Teradata天睿公司也传出即将关闭中国区的消息。
根据数字化转型网（www.szhzxw.cn）获得的内部消息，Teradata 有内部邮件声称：根据 Teradata 对中国当前和未来商业环境的慎重评估，我们做出了一个艰难的决定， Teradata 将逐步结束在中国的直接运营。Teradata 后续将进入中国公司的关闭程序。
针对这一消息，有Teradata 的高管对数字化转型网表示，该消息并非空缺来风，基本属实，只是还未对外正式公开，针对中国区的现有客户如何进行后续服务等问题尚未有明确解决方案，裁员范围与员工赔偿方案目前也未确定。
数字化转型网也采访了一些企业的CIO（首席信息官）与CDO（首席数字官），大多数人表示对自己影响不大：这方面本土也有不少解决方案，teradata现在用的企业应该很少了吧？
甚至有些中国本土CXO（企业高管简称）完全没有听说过该企业，原因是Teradata在中国的客户主要集中在金融机构等数据量特别大的企业和行业，像支付宝曾经用的也是Teradata。
数字化转型网向一些金融圈的CIO/CDO求证，以前国内金融机构普遍使用Teradata，这几年大量被更换掉了。
根据数字化转型网的分析，Teradata退出的原因应该和业绩有一定关系，也和Teradata丧失在中国市场进一步扩张，以及配置更加本土化的产品、方案、价格的信心有关。
另外还有就是像国内几大电信运营商、不少政府机构、公用事业行业曾经都是Teradata的客户，这方面目前是一个敏感领域。
此外“大数据杀熟”一事已经被明令禁止，对于大数据分析使用的政策限制，也是Teradata受影响的潜在原因之一。
