关于这些事情都来自于这张在微博上爆火的图片，图片里称，美的遭遇勒索病毒攻击，导致所有系统均打不开，受到严重影响。内网也无法打开，所有中病毒的电脑或主机的文件都无法打开。
黑客向美的勒索1000万美金，要求7天内汇到指定账户。
还有看起来是转发的内部通知，告诫员工不要开机，马上断电，不要使用邮箱向内部发送邮件或者VPN连入其他美的公司内网，以防病毒扩散，甚至派了安保，逐一去给员工关机。
美的公司官方回应《科创板日报》称：这是谣言，与事实不符。
以下是中国数字化转型网（www.szhzxw.org）记者向几位美的公司负责信息安全的IT部门员工进行求证得来的消息：事情确实有发生，但是没有网传的这么严重，只是小范围中了病毒，行政管理部门在内部宣贯时候，采取了一些过于夸张不严谨的说法，被一些人转发到微博等社交媒体上，导致了大家的误解。
目前信息安全部门正在清理病毒和启动备份恢复，不会对美的正常的运转造成影响，希望社会各界不要过于紧张和夸大此事。
